2025 Nissan Sentra Premium Compact Car Review and Price

Posted on

2025 Nissan Sentra is an affordable and stylish Nissan vehicle. Sentra is the right choice for those who want to buy a budget-friendly car. Even though it is relatively economical, the Nissan Sentra doesn’t play around regarding features.

The Nissan Sentra has several features, including helpful driver assistance, blind spot warnings, and standard equipment. Comfortable seats and a sizable trunk are other attractive qualities.

With styling changes made by Sentra engineers to the front, it is equipped with updated headlights and a new wheel design. The sporty-looking SR trim adds subtle changes to the rear, plus new badging and interior details.

The Nissan Sentra also features an engine stop-start function, which, according to Nissan, will increase efficiency. Additionally, the SV trim gets more standard and available technology.

2025 Nissan Sentra Review

The 2025 Nissan Sentra is one of Nissan’s best-selling cars thanks to its spacious trunk and cabin, adequate advanced safety features, and affordable price. This year, we predict the sedan will see a revamp, updated front-end styling, and improved fuel economy.

As it enters its fifth year of the current generation, the Sentra will likely mark the time until a more comprehensive redesign in 2026, when we expect to see some styling and infotainment upgrades, such as a larger touchscreen and new software.

2025 Nissan Sentra

So far, we are sure that the 2025 Nissan Sentra will present a brilliant concept for an electrified model, and the 2025 Sentra EV is expected to be present soon. We also hope that the Sentra with Sporty styling will also be present in the upcoming 2025 model.

The Nissan Sentra model that has arrived is one of the best values; it is stylish, comfortable, and very classy inside. One possible update is a more powerful trim level using the 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine used in the Rogue crossover.

Equipped with a 201-horsepower engine, it propelled the Rogue from zero to 60 mph in about 8 seconds, nearly a second quicker than the Sentra in our testing. Combining turbo performance with the Sentra’s lighter weight could make the small sedan even more powerful.

Some Important Points:

  • Comfortable ride
  • The materials and cabin design are attractive
  • Many advanced driver assistance features are standard
  • Spacious luggage

2025 Nissan Sentra Redesign

2025 Nissan Sentra, with a redesign concept carried out by one of the experts, revealed the new Sentra design, which uses a CGI concept published on the Digimods DESIGN YouTube Channel. With a more straightforward but modern design, this compact car is the main attraction.

2025 Nissan Sentra

The 2025 Sentra features stacked LED headlights and a grille with a lightbar arrangement, plus sleek taillights that throw it over the body of the current Sentra.

2025 Nissan Sentra

Thus, CGI experts have taken a lot of cues from the Japanese CUV concept, which is the right thing because it can deliver one of the best and most surprising performances during Auto Shanghai.

2025 Nissan Sentra Interior

Inside, the 2025 Nissan Sentra comes with controls that are easy for the driver and passenger to access and understand, whether adjusting the radio or the climate control. The 8-inch touchscreen is also easy to read and use.

There’s plenty of interior space for front passengers. The rear legroom is among the most spacious in the segment. Most drivers will find it easy to get into a comfortable position thanks to a good range of seat and steering wheel adjustments.

Visibility is pleasing to the front and sides, but the thick rear roof pillars and sloping rear window hinder visibility over the shoulder and rear.

2025 Nissan Sentra

The 2025 Nissan Sentra is expected to be much better than before, with increased comfort levels. The front seats have decent cushioning and support. The best seats in the house are found in the back.

The style is luxurious and comfortable and can accommodate two average-sized adults. The climate control system could be more robust, but the airflow range from the ventilation is quite good. Our test car didn’t have rear air vents, but that’s a hallmark of this class.

The Sentra’s trunk space of 14.3 cubic feet is better than the average for small sedans. The 60/40 split rear seats fold down to help accommodate longer cargo items.

However, the only release is from the back seat; no release is in the trunk. Additionally, the seats don’t fold flat, making loading more extended objects, like a flat-screen TV, more of a hassle.

There is ample interior storage for small items, glasses, and bottles, although other cars, including the Honda Civic and Volkswagen Jetta, do this better. There’s also a fair amount of child seat space, but the cushion tightens access to the car seat anchors.

2025 Nissan Sentra Engine

Inside the 2025 Nissan Sentra’s engine, we expect comparable acceleration resulting in an 8.8 second 0-60 mph time. The Sentra’s continuously variable automatic transmission feels smooth and unobtrusive.

The brake pedal is smooth and easy to control in regular use. However, emergency braking performance is below standard. Our test Sentra needed 131 feet to stop from 60 mph.

For context, the average segment is about 123 feet long. Steering and handling are mediocre but sufficient for the average owner for daily use.

A 149-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine powers every Sentra mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive. Although the gearless automatic transmission simulates traditional gear changes, this still needs to change the fact that the Sentra is noisy and slow, especially when trying to pass at highway speeds.

The Nissan has an independent rear suspension and wheel sizes that range from 16 to 18 inches. Our version used the most extensive set, contributing to firm ride quality and excessive road noise. Despite this, the Sentra remains comfortable and suitable for daily commuting and weekend trips.

We were very impressed with the braking system. It provides a reassuring pedal feel and solid stopping power from 70 mph, stopping in a class-competitive 170 feet.

2025 Nissan Sentra MPG

The Sentra achieves an EPA-estimated 33 mpg combined (29 city/39 highway), which is average for vehicles with the base engine in this class. We observed 28.7 mpg across three tank fills in our test vehicle, with the best fill of 32 mpg. This figure was slightly below our expectations based on EPA figures.

2025 Nissan Sentra SR

2025 Nissan Sentracapable of 0-60 mph in 8.4 seconds, matching the 2021 Elantra but slower than the Civic we’ve tested with the better of the two mainstream engine options, a turbocharged 1.5-litre unit (7.4 to 8.0 seconds). The Nissan managed to outrun the Civic Sport we tested with the car’s base 2.0-litre engine, reaching 60 mph in 9.2 seconds. As for the Corolla, we tested the economy car’s XSE version, which hit 60 in 8.2 seconds.

In the real world, the updated 2024 Sentra’s CVT still stands out too much, even in Eco mode. It’s as if the car is overcompensating just because of its decent acceleration. We suspect owners will learn to increase the speed or get used to it.

At least Nissan smoothed out the CVT’s behaviour in slow deceleration, and the transmission works well with the engine’s innocuous stop-start system, which doesn’t want to activate, which is good. Once the engine restarts, the system is less intrusive, like others.

Braking was similarly fine, but no records were set. The Nissan handled our 60-0 mph braking test in 123 feet, on par with the Civic we recently tested (122 to 124 feet), a few feet behind the 2020 Corolla XSE sedan (119 feet), and not nearly as good as the Elantra Limited 2021 at 116 feet.

2025 Nissan Sentra Competitor

A sportier Sentra has been a missing element in Nissan’s lineup, especially among arch-rivals like the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, and Toyota Corolla, all of which offer performance versions that go beyond their eco-friendly car missions.

The 200 hp Sentra, while relatively slow, would be within the range of alternatives like the Honda Civic Si, Hyundai Elantra N, and Toyota GR Corolla. And considering Nissan’s pricing structure, the sharper Sentra will probably remain one of the best values in its class.

2025 Nissan Sentra Price

So far, Nissan has yet to announce the appropriate price for the 2025 Nissan Sentra. However, depending on the trim and options, it will be from $23,320 to $26,410.

2025 Sentra Price Estimated

The Sentra S comes with a slew of standard equipment, but upgrading to the mid-level SV grade doesn't raise the price significantly and is well worth the added technology, which includes adaptive cruise control and dual-zone automatic climate control. We'd also consider the SV Premium package, which includes heated front seats, quilted leather upholstery, a leather shift knob, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a sunroof.

2025 Nissan Sentra Release Date

The Nissan authorities have not officially released the release schedule for the 2025 Nissan Sentra, but we hope that the 2025 Nissan Sentra will be available in showrooms in early 2025.

The Sentra delivers on the most critical aspects of a small sedan. It is stylish, comfortable, and equipped with complete features. Performance is mediocre, but the new 2025 Nissan Sentra is a solid choice, especially if safety and value are your top priorities.

Video Discovery: The Most Underrated Compact Sedan

We have attached the exciting video from the Matt Maran Motoring YouTube channel for this final session. This time, he spent a week with the Nissan Sentra SR to see what the updated Sentra is like and how it compares to its newest competitors. While it may not be the best at everything, he thinks the 2024 Sentra is vastly underappreciated and underrated.

Some of the lowest prices in the segment, solid performance, and an impressively luxurious interior add up to a solid contender. We also hope that there will be several significant changes to make the 2025 Nissan Sentra the best in its class.

Thank you for an excellent video, Matt Maran Motoring. It is so very informative. Have happy, beautiful days.
