2018 Nissan Maxima Engine Specs
2018 Nissan Maxima Engine Specs The Maxima sedan, completely redesigned last year, highlights the style of the new Nissan design language, including the V-motion front, boomerang signatures, C pillars and a unique floating roof. The 300-PS-3.5-litre VQ V6 series has been redesigned with more than 60 percent of new components (compared to the previous generation of 3.5 L V6) and is expected to increase road fuel consumption by 15 percent.
In addition to the V6, it is a new performance-oriented, non-noise gearbox with a wider range of gears that allows for greater acceleration from standstill, and a new D-Step switching logic, i.e. quick changes at high throttle openings. In the four finishing levels SV, SL, SR and Platinum, standard features such as a heated leather front seat and heated steering wheel, an 8.0-inch touch screen navigation system, a remote engine start, a rear monitor and much more are available.
Nissan’s unique full-size sedan sees some changes in 2018, but the main one is to add Android-Auto to connect Apple CarPlay as standard equipment across the range. The SL, SR and Platinum trim strips now have several USB charging ports with rear seats, the fresh gewärzte colour palette now contains carnelian red, and all the maxims see a slight visual refreshment with the addition of black accents on the mesh. Collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard additions on the 2017 models and are also available in the Maximas 2018 version.
Last year’s record – the athletic trim of SR – predicts a slight increase in prices from $510 to $39,165 in 2018, but it is still our favorite. Performance-oriented bending is attractive to enthusiasts like us and also includes equipment that we find exciting:
- Sports suspension
- 19-inch wheels
- Leather seats with faux suede inserts
- Sports mode for helicopter steering and sharper throttle response.
These options allow you to get as close as possible to the sporting ethos they used to be known for and offer a welcome athletic touch without compromising on driving quality or overall luxury.
